    Creating a accumaltive point system

    Hey guys,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, just signed on and this is my first post so don't crucify me just yet.

I want to create an activities register for my school, for column 'E' I have a drop down list of the activities we have running.

Each Row will have the participants names and this wont change until the end of the week.

Each hour for the activity they do is 2 points and column 'G' will have the total points which we will have the total at the end of the week, inculding activity summary which is in column 'I' of the activities they have.

Again, each row will have the participant.

So I have tried everything in my knowledge (which is limited ) and couldn't work around this, am I doing something wrong or expecting something excel can not do or is there a solution, I want do do the work just need some tutorials to teach me how.

    Your help is much appreciated,
    Fabian

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
    Hope that helps.

Re: Creating a accumaltive point system

How about now? Does this make sense?

The problem I have is that when I enter a value, in column 'F' I have the amount of hours they do which we enter, and column 'G' will display the total points, I was hoping to create a macro where it will keep that same value when ever I change the values in column 'F' because if I delete the value in column 'F' the total points will disappear but I want this to increase, when I hit an (and hoping to create a button) ADD button.

Column 'I' will have the summary of the activities they have done, and when ever I click on the ADD button, it will add the activity the duration and date they did the activity, and continue adding more when ever the ADD button is pressed.

I don't know if I am going the wrong way about this, or if it is too complicated? I don't know what to search for in the forums as there are no names that I can think of this.

or if it is too complicated?
It's way too complicated if you're just starting with Excel. Enter the numbers, and a formula that does a running total of those numbers.
