    Selecting Oldest Date From List

I have what I think is a simple problem, but I'm struggling with a solution.

I have attached a very simple example of what I am trying to do. I have a very large list of suppliers which shows amongst a lot of other data the invoice date.

I would like to extract a list of suppliers that have not invoiced me in the last 6 months. In my example I would expect to see supplier C only.

Many Thanks in anticipation of your help.

    Hey,

A Really simple way would be to apply a filter on the date to be greater data than 6 months ago, this would show all the invoices and you could print, copy, do what you want with them.

Thanks for the response, what I am looking for is not a list of invoices over 6 months old but who has not invoiced me in the last 6 months.

In my example it is only supplier C.

One way is to make a helper column to identify suppliers:

The result can be displayed with filtering, or to just get one listing of every supplier, a pivot (see attachment)

    Estige,

Thanks for the response, it should be exactly what I'm looking for, however when I apply the formulae as an array (CSE) then I get a number error.

I have attached a shortened version of the actual worksheet, Test2, if that is of any use.

Re: Selecting Oldest Date From List

Everything looks fine when I open it (both in excel 2003 and 2010)

    Edited:
Sorry, I had saved in 2003-format from 2010 before I opened it in 2003.
Now I see the problem in Excel 2003.
    I'll come back to you..

Hi, The problem is that you refer to hole columns in the array (A:A). Change to for example $A$2:$A$500, and it should be OK.
