Using If to pick up a range of data and not just one cell.

    Hello,
I am trying to create a formula to say that ifsomething is true, then a range of cells should be picked up and inserted in another range of cells in another worksheet in the same workbook.

These are all text and not numbers

Ie If in Worksheet 1 A1= Competency 1, then the details of Competency 1 should be picked up from Worksheet 2 e.g (C1- C5) and put into cells B1 to B5 in Worksheet 1. I have named the range of cells from C1- C5.

I would greatly appreciate help on this
    Many thanks
    GC

Please post a worksheet with your data structure and a few manually constructed examples of your output. With the information you give above, it is impossible to tell whether you need a lookup or a simple IF structure.
