Enter values from drop down list

    An easy one I suppose:
I just saw a presentation using Excel where some of the cells would only accept values from a drop down that was activated by an arrow popping up beside the cell - it looked just like the autofilter.
What is this function called, and where can I find it?

    You need 'data validation'.

I don't know where to find it in xl07, but the keypress sequence -
    alt, D, L
    will work.

It is called Data Validation. It is under the Data Menu.
