Is there a way to create multiple checkboxes/radio boxes in one cell?

I need to have a series of check boxes or just boxes INSIDE cell as well as being able to put a number (input) in there. For example, the a mark for a student goes in the cell and then there are 5 check boxes/boxes along side that can either be turned a colour or have a mark in them to indicate they have been checked. I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you can. Whats wrong with using Conditional Formatting on the cell?
    Hope that helps.

I am sorry, I don't know what that means "conditional formatting". I am using 2003 Excel at the moment. If you have another suggestion, I would be happy to try it.
