How to copy cells from one sorted list to another

Hello - for a project I'm working on, I need to take cell values in a sorted list and paste into a column in another spreadsheet that is also sorted. How can I do this? Right now, if I copy three cells from one sorted list, and try to paste in another, only 1 or 2 values will be pasted in. Please help! Thanks!

How are you doing whatever it is you are doing? How do you select and copy the cells? Where do you try to paste them? Are the copied cells together or separate? How do you determine which cells need to be copied? Are you using VBA?

A few questions to think about ... it would also help if you posted a sample workbook.
