adding to a function box

How do i recall a function box from a spread sheet so that i can add another sum formula to into the next line

What is a function box, and why would you recall it? You want to "add another sum formula into the next line" - can you explain a bit more?

Putting a sum function into a cell is as easy as typing:

=SUM(A1:A10)

in that cell, with the range you need to sum instead of A1:A10.

iots ok thanks for the reply i have seen my error i forgot to put sum im thats why i couldnt get a function box up
