How to format date for pivot table graph

I have a data set that I need to convert to a graph of sales over time. I cannot get the data to stop using the time stamp. If I have multiple sales in one day it is dividing them up as separate quantities. How do I prevent this? Formatting the date column isn't working.

can you post a sample workbook to illustrate the problem as currently the question makes little sense.

I am attaching a small sample of data. My basic desire is to be able to make a graph of sales over time (by day as opposed to by date+time). However, I would be even more grateful if you could help me set up sales over time by the "class" field.

You can either add a field which is just the Date, =INT(E2)

Or within the table group the field by Days.
