    Pivot Tables for Multi-Column Range

I'm using Excel 2007 and I'm new to pivot tables. I'm trying to create a list of unique values from a range consisting of five columns and 200+ rows. Each of the cells is data-validated (using a shared drop-down list), and any respective value could appear in any of the five columns (i.e., choice #17 could appear in column A, or in column B, etc.). When I try to use a pivot table to make a list of unique values, it instead gives me a list of unique row combinations. How do I get Excel to recognize a multi-column range as a single list from which to compile the list of unique values?

Here is the file. My pivot table appears on the RoleList tab and pulls from columns H-L of the Step10 tab (the range is named Pivot_Roles).
