Don't want automatic text to columns

I import data from a .txt file using copy-paste and then via the text-to-column function split it up in columns by the delimiter.
The first time after opening Excel all data is put in the same column, but after having performed the first text-to-column operation it is done automatically for all the following pastes.

But I don't always want that, so I wonder if it is possible to switch it off, so that I can get all data in one column without having to shut down Excel first.

Having run the Text to Columns, re-run it again but this time de-select those delimiters you last used and click Finish.
