Convert Number in Text format to Value with decimal

I have a list of number in text format I need to convert them to decimal number like:-

From 1440 to 1.440
From 6729 to 6.729
From 12185231 to 12,185.231

Enter 1000 into a blank cell, copy it - highlight your values and run Paste Special: Divide

Try this formula

=VALUE(LEFT(A1,LEN(A1)-3)&"."&RIGHT(A1,3))

and then format the cell to suit

Enter 1000 in any free cell and copy it. Select the range to affect and go to Edit|Paste Special and select Divide... Click Ok
