Question Selecting entries from a data base

I have attached a payroll data base that I need to use to pull information about a sales persons sales.
In colume A1 is a drop down list of sales persons, when the name is changed it shows the sales from that person. I want to hide all the other sales that were made that does not pertain to that name. This would need to hide rows and columns.
I have attached the data base and an example sheet to show the results I am looking for if "Sid Silverman" and "Teddy Wilikie were selected.

Thanks in advance for anyones help.
    I am NOT a programmer

You don't need to be a programmer, just learn basic excel. A PivotTable will do this

    Hope that helps.

A PivotTable as in the example will show results from the name selected

Thanks again RoyUK but again a pivot table will NOT give me the results I am looking for.
I don't need a simple total. I am looking for a display exactly like the to 2 examples I have shown. The sales people need to be shown what they are getting paid on.

    Thanks for you response
