Drawing Data by Associated Cell's Data

Hi, I'm looking for a way for excel to pull data by its name. It's for a sports table. The idea is that I will have multiple players and a point tally beside them like so:

What I want to have, if possible, is that elsewhere in the spreadsheet I can have a form that will have fields such as "Winning player" and "losing player". The user can then type in, for example, "Matt" and Excel would automatically draw Matt's points from his associated cell, cell B3 in the example (750). Is something like this at all possible? Thank you for any help at all.

Look at the attachment. Type the name of the player in appropriate cell (coloured in blue), and it will draw his points in the next cell. I set a range for 99 players (in cells A2 to A100), but should you need more, just change the range in formulas.

Thank you so much. I'm trying to "figure it out" myself through reverse engineering, but if I can't do that is there an article I can read about how you did that? This is purely for curiosity at this point so don't bother typing it all up yourself; I'm sure you have more important things to do. Thank you so much again, this is fantastic.

Edit: I figured it out. Thank you again, this is exactly what I wanted.

You welcome! I'm glad it helped, and you succeeded to analyze it.

Edit: btw, there were other ways to do it; I think using MATCH and INDEX functions would also do the thing, but I prefer SUMPRODUCT.
