    Credit note log

    Hi Again

i am reverting back to my log which RayUK kindly helped me with. i understand now how to pull certain information from certain places and place it it somewhere else. My new question is about formatting.

i am adding email adresses using the vlookup formula but would like it to be formatted so that it resembles a hyperlink and opens up your email client. in the example file shown i have written my email adress which works fine but the when i click on the suppliers email it just brings up the formula.

    any ideas.

    No attachment

An email address normally autoformats to underlined blue & a hyperlink
    Hope that helps.

    Re: Credit note log

You have two email addresses in one cell so Excel doesn't recognise the format

    Hi Roy

i have changed it to just the one email address and it shows in the correct format on the suppliers sheet but not when it is pulled across.

    Re: Credit note log

i have the three column in the suppliers sheet. the third column has a list of email adresses. i have used and modified your formula to add the email address relevant to the supplier in the cell show below email on the credit note sheet.

You will see on the credit note that i have written my oqn email address in F4 which has formated perfectly and automatically.

the email i need to be formated is in A9

    Thanks for your continued assistance.

    Re: Credit note log

I thought that you meant the log sheet. Try this in A9 of the actual form

    =HYPERLINK(VLOOKUP(C16,Suppliers!$A$1:$C$60,3,FALSE))

I've looked into this but I have found the problem reported, but not solved.

I think maybe start a new thread with "VLOOKUP email address results in error"
