Exclamation formula SHOWN in one cell, the result in another

    Hi everyone,
I have several problems for you. First, my situation: I'm a engineer an have to make an quantity layout - shows how much concrete, steel etc. is needed. Like with all technic stuff, the docs have to follow some rules:
    - a frame arround the page following the margings
    - the command ''Print Titles'' alows to have rows on top to be repeated on every page, I need the same for the bottom
    - IMPORTANT!!! the docs have to be prooven, meaning that the supervisor (an states man) has to be able to see what was calculated. That means that I need sth like this:
    input cell showing: (2+3)*6
    result cell showing: 30

I've seen in some posts that you use VBA, writing commands...can someone post a link that explains this stuff?

    Thank's a lot!

    The comand EVAL worked perfectly!

I have tried EVLUATE earlier - didn't work. I was guessing that it was cuz I have '07, some commands are not supported.
I've tried to connect the last row with the top rows i the command ''Print Titles''. Was an stupid Idea, didn't work. Guess I'm going manual.

FYI, Evaluate does still work in 2007. If your formula is directly to the column to the left of your expected result then defined name Eval1 (e.g) would be
    =EVALUATE(INDIRECT("RC[-1]",FALSE))
and then in the cell =Eval1

Unless you can put what you want into a footer, Excel will only repeat rows at the top. Sorry.

Is it possible to make a frame around the footer, or to format the footer as a table?

Not that I'm aware of. You could post that question in the Programming folder. It would definitely be a VBA solution.
