Count occurance of a certain time of day between two dates

Can anyone provide a simple formula that will calculate the number of times 0600hrs appears between two dates?

For example,

start date 1/07/2010 12:44:54 AM and end date 14/07/2010 1:38:06 PM would return 14
start date 1/07/2010 6:44:54 PM and end date 14/07/2010 1:38:06 PM would return 13
start date 1/07/2010 12:44:54 AM and end date 14/07/2010 2:38:06 AM would return 13
start date 1/07/2010 12:44:54 PM and end date 14/07/2010 12:38:06 AM would return 12

Just can't seem to get my head around it.
