    Make Multiple Columns, One Column

Is there a formula in Excel to combine multiple columns (each with multiple rows) into 1 column? For example, I have ~400 columns, and each column has 8 rows, and I want to create 1 column with 3200 (400x8) rows.

    Hi nates280,

I wonder what benefit you get from this as we are always asked to do the reverse of what you ask.

That said... If you have data in A1, B1,C1.... You can combine them into a single cell with a formula in say AA1 = A1 & B1 & C1 ......

I can't imagine why you want this but the above formula appends multiple cells data into a single cell.

    good luck.

    Thanks Marvin, but I don't want to put data from cells in multiple columns into one cell, I want to take multiple columns and combine them to create one column. For example, I have A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 & B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8 & C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, C8..., and I want to go to AA1, AA2, AA3, AA4, AA5, AA6, AA7, AA8, AA9 (which was B1), AA10 (which was B2), AA10 (which was B3)...AA22 (which was C7), AA23 (which was C8).
