Highlighting Locked/Unlocked Cells

The post below came from ChemistB back in 2008. I tried to make it work in Excel 2007 to no avail. I am guessing the instruction assumes that the reader is more experienced than I am.

Any help would be appreciated.

1. Go to Define names and select a name (e.g. LockedCells).
2. Refers to: =Get.Cell(14,INDIRECT("rc",FALSE)). Add and OK.
14 is the code for returning true or false to whether a cell is
locked or not.
3. Select range (or whole sheet)
4. Conditional Formatting Formula is =NOT(LockedCells)
Select a nice colorful format and OK

All unlocked cells will be formatted as per your conditional format.

Note, this overwrites any previous Conditional formatting so you wouldn't want to overwrite your file after performing this exercise.

Wow, was I around in 2008?!

The GET.CELL is a Excel 4 macro so you must have macros enabled and (if saving) save as xls or xlsm file.

Attached is an example where I followed the above directions exactly. You can lock or unlock any cells in the worksheet and they will turn green (if unlocked). Does that help?
