copy and past to different sheets based on criteria

    excel 2007

    sheet 1 is data dump.

sheets 2 thru 6 are sheets by manager.

when i dump data of employee info in sheet 1, i need to copy and paste all rows that report to manager A sheet 2 (and the same for rest of manager sheets) automatically. My problem is that each employee may have mutiple rows. Each employee is identified by an ID.

i've tried several ways, but not able to succeed....

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

Assuming the managers name is in column A of the data dump and the manager sheets are named exactly the same this should do the trick:

I have a macro that may be "ready to use" for parsing rows of data from one sheet to many sheets named for the same values. It not only can parse the rows, it can create the sheets if they are missing.

    Dom,

If the macro parses values that are numeric, this created a referencing problem at times that I had to solve in my macro. Numeric values need to be consistently converted to text before inserting into the sheet references. Take a look and you'll see what I had to do to make it work for both text and numeric references.

Well spotted, I've come across that in the past.

Per Jerry's suggestion this line in my code should be changed from:
