    VBS script needed

What VBS script would cause an open Excel sheet to be saved ?

    Re: For DOS batch file

Sebastian, first, do something about the thread title, please.

    then:

    Start the macro recorder.

    Save the file.

    Stop the macro recorder.

Study the code as a starting point.

    VBS script needed

[QUOTE=teylyn;2393762]Sebastian, first, do something about the thread title, please.\

What VBS script should I enter into a DOS batch file to save an open workbook ?

And thanks for starting me on the way to a solution, Teylyn.

By the way, the code you suggest I study - isn't that VBA instead of VBS ?
    Does it matter ?

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

PLEASE PM WHEN YOU HAVE DONE THIS AND I WILL DELETE THIS POST

Fix your thread title according to our forum rules. You've been around long enough to know what to do.

    Re: For DOS batch file

I did change the title from "For DOS batch file" to "VBS script needed". Is that still not good enough ? What does PM mean ?
p.s. I have just discovered that this is the second infraction I've committed. I missed knowing about the first one, but I am VERY aware of the second.

    Re: For DOS batch file

I tried and did not get access - what I COULD edit was the content of the post, but not the title.

Did you click the Go Advanced button after clicking the Edit button?

    Re: For DOS batch file

I have now. Thanks for the hint. But the content of the message now makes less sense than before
