Convert Lbs to Lbs and Oz

    Hi all,

Does anyone have a suggestion on how I might convert 1 column with weights which are lbs in decimal format into 2 columns, 1 for lbs and 1 for oz?

I know I can convert the lbs directly to oz using the Convert formula - but my aim is to get two columns, one for lbs and one for oz.

    =int(a1) returns pounds

    =16 * mod(a1, 1) returns ounces

If you want to round to the nearest ounce (so 1.99 in A1 will become 2 lbs 0 oz) then try this formula for pounds

    =INT(A1+1/32)

    ....and this one for ounces

    =MOD(ROUND(A2*16,0),16)
    Audere est facere
