Question How to apply "if" circumstances?

I hope I explain this clearly.. I'm trying to make a spreadsheet to calculate costs.

We are a manufacturing company and we specialize in customization. I have a lot of add-ons that I need to add up to get my total. But the problem is that there are different roads that a customer can choose from. Attached is a sketch that somewhat explains how things go from one step to another.

As you can see there are three groupings. In the first group (a,b,c) I will have to choose one of them. In the 2nd group (d,e,f,g,h) I will choose multiple options there. In the 3rd group (i,j,k,l,m,n) depending on what options I chose from the 2nd group, figures will be carried on to apply to the 3rd.
Figures are carried on from one group to another to get to x the answer. I know this is supposed to be built using access since it is more of a database job. But I was wondering if there is some sort of a "checkbox" I can use to activate cells that need to send figures to a different cell and how to do it. Prices in A, B, and C will change the figures in the 2nd and 3th groups..
Any help is MUCH appreciated. It will make my daily life a little more bearable. Thank you in advance!

Okay, I finished making a live workbook you can mess around with. Hope this makes it easier to understand my problem. thanks again

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

Hi g34rfr34k (is this l33t (leet) for Gearfreak?)

Excel has the ability to do "If formulas" based on other cell's values. It also has the "Choose function" that is able to set things bases on other things.
Excel is so versitile that we can't attempt a real solution without a simple mock-up of what you are attempting.

We can help but need you to give us some rules or structure.

Red face Re: How to apply "if" circumstances?

Thanks Arthur and Marvin for your help. I'll try to repost some dummy workbooks as you suggested. I'm sorry for being a noob lol, I bet you get this all the time hehe. Yeah, it is "l33t" but I'm no "l33t" if you know what I mean. It's just an obsession with the xbox game Gears of War.

    HI G34rfr34k,

I played at lenght with you workbook today and didn't know what you were looking for as a final answer.

I suggest you search the net for Excel Drop Down Lists or Excel Data Validation. Most of these examples show names in their drop downs but you should have the numbers that you have in your table. Study this topic along with Named Ranges in excel to get closer to what I think you want.

Look at and watch more like the below.

You can even search for videos on the topic - some at
