Smile Counting in sets of Three

As a bit of reference I'm setting up an Excel spreadsheet to create a merge with an Indesign file that we are going to run on a copier. The client only wants a 100 sets of a 3 part form. Instead of cranking up a press for this we're just going to run the 300 sheets on the copier.

My question is there an easy way of getting Excel to auto-number for me

    for example
    1001
    1001
    1001
    1002
    1002
    1002
    1003
    1003
    1003
    .
    .
    .
    1100
    1100
    1100

If so is there a way other then typing out 300 numbers and how would you do this?

I can set up auto-numbering in Indesign, but only consecutively (1, 2, 3..300). So a merge would be faster.

Any help would be grateful. I don't mind typing, I just rather not do this and hopefully not make any stupid typos..lol

    Thanks

    Bruce

Type 1001 into the first three cells. (A1:A3)

In the next cell (A4) put the form put this reference formula:

    =A1+1

...then copy that cell down as far as needed.

Thank you so much. I knew it was something simple and for the life of me I couldn't see it. I was trying to make things way over complicated.

Mark it as solved and again thank you!
