    3D referencing

    Hi guys:

I have 9 sheets right now. Each has a company's financial performance and there is a 10th sheet which is the output page. On the output page, I want to spread some of the key statistics from each of the 9 sheets for the individual companies.

Each of those 9 sheets is formatted exactly the same... what is the reference I would need to use so that I don't have to individually enter a new formula for each company on the output page? Is it a 3D reference?

    (example of the output page)

Column A (company name).......................... Column B (equity value)
    Name 1...............................................................Equity Value 1
    Name 2...............................................................Equity Value 2
    Name 3............................................................... Etc...
    Name 4
    Name 5
    Name 6
    Name 7
    Name 8
    Name 9

I want to be able to fill column b down so I can do this more quickly. Sorry I'm a noob haha, thanks for any help you can offer.

    Re: 3D referencing help plz

    Not 3D - rather INDIRECT

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Where it is assumed A2 on current sheet holds sheet name and cell being retrieved is D10

    modify as nec.

Note: INDIRECT is Volatile - see link in sig. for more info.
