Using matching criteria from a array

Hello to all and I hope someone can help please.

I have attached a file to try and make it clear
I have an array of 100 rows by 6 cols
I also have a row of numbers that are used for comparing.
The number in L6 (2) is the deciding factor, by that I mean I want to check each row
of 6 numbers in the array, but only the rows that contain the number in L6 (2).
and any numbers that match the numbers from k9 to ad9 I would like to have a 1 there.
I have been trying for ages to work it out I do hope you can help please.

This explanation is very difficult to follow. You will get better responses if you attach your workbook here. Include a mock-up of what results you want.

You would like to have a 1 where? How can you have a 1 and also have it match K9:AD9? I don't understand how you want the matching to work. You said you have 6 columns of data but you are matching K9:AD9, which is 20 columns. Can the match on L6 be in any column in the row?

    One approach:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Apply Custom Number Format to K10:AD33 of [=0]"";General
    (this will mask zero)

It would be better to store the first COUNTIF in say Column J and then have subsequent columns refer to J rather than recalculate the COUNTIF - the result is constant per row.
