excel 2007. Can't compute with downloded bank data. Get #value!. have inspected file

Downloaded bank data is in τnn.nn. All attempts to compute within data set just yields '#value!'.
I have used inspect within prepare and no problems were found. Data will not change its format through normal routines.

We need to see the formulas that are yielding the #VALUE errors, and the data they are referring to. Can you attach your file? Otherwise give at least one example of a formula and the contents of all the cells it refers to.

Sounds like the numbers are formatted as text, you will need to force them to accept the correct format.
