Excel 2007 : Compairing 2 sheets and replacing data

Hi this is my first time here so sorry if this is not in the right section or worded correctly

I have 2 spreadsheets and basically what I am trying to do is create a formula for the following situation.......

In spreadsheet 1 I have a Name column and data column followed by a few other columns that don't matter at this point.

In Spreadsheet 2 I have a Name Column and another data column the names in this spreadsheet will match most of the ones in spreadsheet one but not all and the data in column 2 will different for a majority how can i search columns 1 names and if they match it will replace the data in column 2??
