Excel 2007 : Conditional format one cell based on another cell

Is this possible? example:


____A______B

1___cat_____y
2___dog
3___bird
4___cow____y
5___fish


Can a condional format be applied that would make anything in column "A" that also had a "y" in column "b" blue and anything without a "y" red? How would you do this? In the above example, cat and cow would be formated with blue text and dog, bird and fish would have red text.

Sure.

Cell A1: Condition 1: Formula is: =B1="y", format blue
Cell A1: Condition 2: Formula is: =B1<>"y" format red

Copy the formats to the remaining cells in column A
