Lookup from A second Sheet???

hi guys i am trying to Get some Sort of formula to Gather information from A Second sheet back to the First ex. ( if cell a1 matches a cell in column A of Sheet 2 then produce the Corresponding D Cell of Sheet2 To cell H1 on Sheet 1) ??????

Assuming you adjusted the ranges in the formula to match your actual ranges in the sheet, then the value does not exist or, if it "appears" to exist, then perhaps there is a trailing space in either the look up value or the matching value. Trailing spaces are invisible. You'll have to test the length of the look up value and the matching value (if it exists, in fact). If they are not the same length then you will get the error.

Okay so What it is I am doing A parts inv. and pricing i have the price list on my Second Sheet And The parts inv. on the first Sheet And i am looking up a 9 character Part number from within the price list part numbers on the price list are in Column A on sheet 2 starting with Cell A1ending with cell A11072
and the Price is listed in Column D on Sheet 2 and then i want the price to be moved to column I of Sheet 1

It will save time and questions if you upload a sample workbook.
To verify the formula is functioning correctly, type a unique value in column-A, in the same range as the current look up values, of both sheets so that you know for a fact you have two valid matching entries.

If the formula returns a value from column-D, then the formula is correct and the problem lies elsewhere.

You did adjust my original formula per your actual cell ranges, correct?

Palmetto, thank you for you help i did what you said made a sample and the Code worked good and i just had to reformat to fit my Table i changed the wrong number before (very new with the formulas)
