    SumIf with a vlookup?

I think I need to use SumIf with a Vlookup function but I'm just not sure.

    I've attached a spreadsheet with 2 tabs.

I want to say, if Nov!A1 is found within Sept!$A$1:$A$10 then sum Nov!B1 - Sept!B1, otherwise, just display Nov!B1

How do I write this formula?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Perhaps, in Nov!C2:

    =B2+SUMIF(Sept!$A$2:$A$7,Nov!A2,Sept!$B$2:$B$7)

    copied down.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
