Adding totals of many cells in one column

    I have three columns, A=date, B=item and C=price

How do I add the total price of all items for more than 700 days in a single formula ?
Something like =sum(c:c) but for totals instead of each individual cell.

Can you be more specific about your criteria? Your question sounds too simplified. SUM(C:C) is the answer to what you asked.

Do you mean sum "part of column C" based on dates in column A, perhaps? Or sum the cells for certain items in column B?

This is the total of the numbers in column C, above the sum formula. If that is not what you want, what is?

The answer depends on your data layout.

Maybe post a small sample sheet ?
