Need help with solution using SUMPRODUCT

I need help with my solution. I made this solution from office calc (open office) and it works fine. then I saved it as compatible to excel. all other sheets were working fine except for my sheet that references to another sheet within the same document. I have checked my solution is its correct.

can anyone help me out on what the problem might be..


=SUMPRODUCT(MonthEndReport!$I$14:$I$1098="DG",MonthEndReport!$D$14:$D$1098=$AA$8)



by the way the first parenthesis is to select/count cells with "DG" and then further select/count all that falls under cell AA8.

Give this a shot:
=SUMPRODUCT(--($I$14:$I$1098="DG"),--($J$14:$J$1098=$AA$8))

Let me know how you make out.
