    Problems with different fonts

    Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I have problems with Excel files written in Georgian and Bengali for an on-line dictionary.

I send an excel file in English to translators. They type the translations in Georgian or bengali (or several other languages, including f.e. Chinese).
When I open the file I see the translations nicely in the proper scripts in the Excel cells (I have installed all proper fonts). But in the formula bar the translations appear as transcripts in latin letters and symbols.
When I convert Excel to html in Dreamweaver and safe as UTF-8 encoding, I see the table or words nicely in script.
But when I either copy the excel file or when I copy a word from the html file into the database, I only get the Latin script again.

On the other hand, when I copy frm the screen a word from the Georgian wikipedia into Excel, the script appears in the cells ánd in the formula bar. This I can upload into the database without any problem.

My computer thus recognises the Georgian script, I have the proper fonts and ecoding, but somehow Excel stores the words differently.

How can I (or my translators) get the script in the formula bar ?
I hope someone can help me...

By the way, if they type in Word it is the same.

formula bar displays as your default language setting doesn't matter what format cell is
