    Creating a Formula

I am trying to create a formula in excel that will look at a number then return a number that corresponds between ranges. For instance....say the number was 46500, then it would look at the chart below and return .03. I've tried vlookup's and if statements, but I have errors in my formula....any help?

    0 - 29999.99 0.01
    30,000 - 39,999.99 0.02
    40,000 - 49,999.99 0.03
    50,000 - 59,999.99 0.04
    60,000 - 69,999.99 0.05
    70,000 - 79,999.99 0.06
    80,000 - 89,999.99 0.07
    90,000 + 0.08
