Greetings, I am no excel pro and I need help.
I play hockey in a local league. I have attached the ss and if you open it you will see a 6 team schedule. If you look close, you will observe that the person that generates these games just inserts team 1, then 2, then 3,... He does so with no effort on this part. Thus, if you look to the right you will see a break down of what teams have early, mid, or late games. Early games are coveted and mid games are appreciate. No one wants the late games.
I am the MadDogs captain, and you can see that out of 17 games, we have 2 early games and 9 late games. Ugh! While the Hounds have 12 early games and 4 late games. The scheduler puts no effort into sorting these out fairly like say, the Vipers spread.
What I would like is a form that names with colors could be put into and then it would disperse the teams amongst the schedule a bit more fairly. I know random is only so random, but an excel sheet has got to be better able to do this than this guy cares to.
Times, days, etc. do not need to be automated in any way. Just the 3 games and 6 teams.
