NO Vlookup and No fomulas working

    Hi Guys,

First of all this is my first post eher and I truly hope someone can help.

I am running Windows 7 and Office 2007 on top of it.

Ever since Office 2007 was installed I noticed the files did not associate autmomatically. Is this a problem with the installed or quite normal?

Secondly, ever since the install Vlookups between workbooks and other simple formulas between workbooks do not work. For example:

=vlookup(c5,'this is my other workbook'$b3,2,false) ignore the format just an example.

Is there a problem with the installation or a more common problem.

For the record I have stripped all formatting from both workbooks and copy and pasted to fresh sheets in new workbooks. So hope someone can help?

    Thanks Chris

Have you got Calculation set to automatic, check in the Formulas Tab
    Hope that helps.

    HI there,

    Yes all set to automatic

This is the problem, I have been working with Excel a long time and did not consider myself to be a novice. Until this problem arrived
