Excel 2007 : pull letters out of cell with letters & numbers

i got some data, that i cant copy into seperate cells. I need to pull some data. I did a formula, but it only pulls the #s and it doesnt do everything that I want. I did another formula as 2nd method & it doesnt work.

For example, I have IN rows E6 and ongoing, "Receita Operacional 169.305 222.410", this data in a cell, I want to seperate the words out of it and be able to extract the #' too.

What I did for method #2 was, i was trying to do the find text, but what I had to do was know the # of texts, and count them mannually. So i did a find =find formula in c6, and then in d6 i did a left formula.

This doesnt really work, can anybody help extract the data easier and split the words and then I can split the #.s

Your data is to varied for me to find a rule to work with.

You will either have to refine your data or use a UDF and native formula.

What is to be done with Dates (both Numeric and descriptive),and currencies?
