Summing total registration up to a date

I am trying to analyze registration data for an event.

I have a list of all of the registrations and would have successfully used a pivot report to the number of people that registered each particular day.

What I would like to do is have excel list/graph the total number of registrations up to each date. This is where I need help. Does anyone have any advice on how to accomplish this task?

Ex.

What I have:

11/12/10 10
11/13/10 17
11/15/10 10
11/19/10 12

What I need:

11/12/10 10 10
11/13/10 17 27
11/15/10 10 37
11/19/10 12 49

Hi,

If you're content using a PivotTable, you can add a field to it that will do what you're asking. What you need to do is:

1. Add a field into the Values section that you can use the Count function on.
2. Then, click on it and select Value Field Settings.
3. In the popup, select the tab Show values as.
4. Show values as will be set to Normal by default. Change this to Running Total in.
5. Make sure the Base field is set to be the Date field.
6. Hit OK.
