Excel help with hours sheet

I have a main hours sheet with all employee names and then i have different sheets with some employees that worked. The main list has about 800 listed and the weekly sheets have about 500 employees with their hours. how can i copy those hours to add to the main sheet but so the values still correspond to the right names.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a SMALL dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

Im not sure how to attach it but this is what it looks like

Sheet 1 Main

Adam - 4 - x
Ben - 5 - x
George -5 - x
Mike - 6 - x
Xavier - 4 - x
800 total names

sheet 2 - week 2
George - 7
Xavier - 5
500 total

I need to copy and paste what is on sheet 2 onto the main sheet where the x's are. However if i just copy and paste it, it will do it in different order since not all the names are there...is there a way to do this or do i have to enter 800 numbers manually
