Sum and Chart Daily sales - multiple transactions per day

Need to chart daily sales volumes but export from Quickbooks does not sum for each day, simply a list of all filtered transactions. The current chart is not stacking these multiple transactions.

Do I have to sum the sales for each day to chart?

What is best way to accomplish the the charting without manipulating the raw data?

See attached. I highlighted the data and selected Data-->Sub totals. I then filtered on the sub totals using the 2 on the left. I expanded your chart and it populated with only the subtotals.

    Hi,

One way is to create a PivotChart out of the data. (Basically, create a PivotTable based on the data that summarizes the amounts by date, and then create a PivotChart off that)

The sample included does that. It makes use of a dynamic named range so that you can just paste the data into the location it is and it will automatically adjust to the number of rows that are there. (Well, after you refresh the PivotTable)

Other options are available if you don't like this one.
