    Sort cell reference integrity

How can I maintain cell refernce integrity while perfoming a sort?
I have tried locking the cells using the $ and using range names. Neither method maintains the cell integrity when a sort is performed on the data.

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

An example would make this more than a guess, but try adding the sheet name to the cell reference.

Thanks shg. I tried your suggestion with no luck. I have attached an example. The example uses different ways of referncing a cell. I have also inserted text boxes that will hopefully clarify things.
Looking forward to your responses and thanks!

    Re: Sort cell reference integrity

Looking at you example file you could write your formula like this:

    =INDIRECT("C14")*0.5
You can then sort using the "b" column and your formula still works ok, but this does not work if you do a sort using the "a" column.

HTH at least to 50 %
