Very simple math equals #value! ???

    Very simple math equals #value! ???

    Please Login or Register  to view this content.

    What is wrong with this formula? It returns a value of, well, #VALUE!

    Hi Jon,

    The problem is that you're combining SUM with a math function (+). No need to use + in between the ranges..

    =SUM(Q158:Q163,Q166:Q171,Q174:Q179....)

    If you use the Evaluate Formula toolbar option, you'll see that all of the range arguments after the first result in VALUE errors.
