    Share Register

    I am looking for ways to improve our share register. Currently, we list for each parcel of shares, the date of purchase, cost, no of shares, market value of share at 30 June current year and also 30 June prior year (if share was held then). We total the investment in each share and calculate the movement in market value as at 30 June current year and where applicable the profit/loss on sales first using original cost, then using market values form year start.
    We have a separate range of cells for each investment and each time we acquire or sell we have to add a new line and all the appropriate formaulas then create sub-totals for each share and finally grand totals for all the shares.
    This seems very inefficient and I think we may be able to use the list functions and input using a form toachieve the same result but quicker. I don't quite know where to start.
