Is there an equivalent to the access fonction last fonction in Access?


For exemple,
I'm trying to retrieve the ending inventory that was produced ("Prodn") in my spreadsheet attached.

For instance, my 1109-08 product, I'm looking to retrieve the 11,243.00 figure that was produced this week.(and I know my raw data is awfull, it's an extract of a fugly UNIX based software, so my 11243 show on page 3 of that report).


Does anyone know what type of function best suits this?

The main issue you have relates to the fact that the Product key is not repeated.

If you add this then things will be simplified to an extent, eg:

then your result for 1109-08 Prodn is:

note however that the above is not particularly efficient - if your real data sets are massive then I would advise against using it.

It won't be massive, it's just that the rows won't be consistent.

I might always be looking at the same set of rows from week to week, production being greater or leasser for each product.
