Adding pictures into excel, linked to cell totals.

I have developed a very simple set of sheets that collect points every lesson for children at my special school. These are then added up using the usual formulae and pupils get rewards according to their scores. In order to make it more visual I would like to have a picture of their reward that only shows once the totals cell is over a certain score. This could be a picture of a Gold, Silver or Bronze medalion or even a picture of a swimmer for a swimming session as a reward. How can I do this? I have worked out how to get it to show simple text such as GOLD when the total cell is >70 for example and I will soon work out how to say IF total - > 52 and <70 then "SILVER" but could I show a picture? This would be more visual and could be fun if changed each week. Any help appreciated but please make explanations very simple as I am literally starting from scratch here. Thanks.

Thanks for that but I think I need a step by step guide as I am really new to the whole thing. I need something like the steps in a help file so maybe this forum is not the right place. I might look for a decent book. Any ideas?
