Referencing the sheet name on the cell

    Dear forum experts,
I'm looking for a possibility of referencing the cell value based on the sheet name. For example if my sheet name is "SheetX" then I would like to have it automatically reflect a value on my cell (A1) = "SheetX" as well.
Is this possible or would it require a special function or VBA code.
Thanks so much for your help on this matter.

    Regards,
    John

This formula only works after the workbook has been saved at least once. Don't edit it, the A1 references don't actually mean "cell A1", put this formula in any cell to see the sheet name:

    =MID(CELL("filename",A1),FIND("]",CELL("filename",A1))+1,256)
