    Clustered Cylinder Graph

I have created a Clustered Cylinder graph which is very simple using the following data.

    Backlog 21/12/10 22/12/10 23/12/10 24/12/10 25/12/10 26/12/10 27/12/10

    1071 512 295 20 0 0 0 0

I would like to add an additional column displaying the average and display this value as a line on the graph - is this possible?

    Hi,

I don't believe you can mix 3D (cylinder) and 2D (line) series on the same chart. Can you not use bars instead of cylinders, in which case you can combine the two?

I more than happy to comprimise on artistic look for quality of data

    Hi,

In that case just right click on the chart, select Source data and add the new series for average. i.e. this will be the =AVERAGE($B$1:$B$7) function copied to C1:C7.

Then right click the new series (default) column, pick Chart Type and select 'line'.
