    Give text a numeric value???

Hi... I would like to give a set text numeric value throughout a worksheet... Is that possible...?

    Example:

I enter "Jack Black" and I want this text to represent the number 25.

Let's say I enter "Jack Black" two times on row 5... I would like to be able to enter a formula where the sum of row five (i.e. "a5:j5) would equal 50 since that text appears twice... Can I do that...???

I am sure this is just the beginning of a question, but try this out for now....
    =COUNTIF(A5:J5,"Jack Black")*25
