XL 2010 - chart links to source data when making a copy of a worksheet

In excel 2003, I was able to copy an entire worksheet that has a chart in it, call it WS1 and create WS2. The charts in the copied worksheet WS2 would link to the same data ranges in WS2 as they did in WS1. This made for easy duplication of the same chart with a different data set. In 2010, a chart in a copied worksheet still links to the "WS1" ranges and not the data ranges in the new WS2. Is there a way or a setting that can activated to remedy this back to how it was in 03?

As long as the references are to cell rather than a named range the copying of a worksheet, including data and chart, will work as in xl2003. The data and chart on the newly copied sheet will act independently of the original

Can you post example workbook and detail how the copy of the worksheet was done.
