Help-Getting HD Directory with duration tab onto excel

How can I export to excel the directory listing on my HD? I have various home videos (over 100) and I want to know what is the total duration without having to enter each one manually. I have the directory so that it shows each video's duration in minutes & seconds and I want to export this to excel but haven't found a way as of yet.

Can this be done within excel or is there a program out there that can export this to excel?

    Thanks.

Try a program like SNAGIT to save your directory into a text file and then import into excel. I believe it has a free trial period.

Is there a way for the program to align the columns properly? Some of the columns were unaligned. I tried to capture the text, and it shows perfectly under the Snagit preview windows, but when I copy it to excel (or send it to excel through the program feature of snagit), some of the columns are unaligned. Is there a way for the columns to come out properly aligned on Excel?

I've found there's always some playing around you have to do. Not sure what options SNAGIT allows but try saving as different files (txt or csv) and importing into Excel using different delimiters and see what one works best for you.
